What Downfield collects
- No accounts, names or email addresses.
- When you answer a question, the game sends the answer and the question's ID to our database (hosted by Supabase) so it can count how often each answer is given. Answers are not linked to your name, device or account. Our hosting providers may keep standard server logs.
- If you tap "That should count," the answer you typed and the question are saved so we can review them.
- Your streak, stats and drive history are stored only in your own browser. Clearing this site's data removes them.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people play and how they use the site. It sets cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent personal information.
- The site doesn't respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, since it has no user profiles to act on.
- Downfield is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
